Much of my story feels a bit upside down. Motherhood started much too young with a teen pregnancy which led me to enter God’s Love story in a fast and furious fashion. But God. He brought a godly man into my life with a pursuit to walk closely with our Lord and has been a intrical part of God’s redeeming love in my story. It’s been a wild ride as a pastor’s wife of over 32 years, welcoming 12 children into our family team along the way. Holding firmly to the belief that I was made for worship, I’ve clumsily attempted to use my platform (my home) as a way to live out loud His love story and goodness as my object of worship. The most challenging but rewarding aspect has been being a homeschool mom of over 26 years, graduating our 7th child this year. What little I knew about motherhood has only stretched and expanded with 7 adult children now in our family. I can’t wait to share with you the little nuggets of truth God has taught me throughout my parenting years and encourage you in the long, beautiful season of parenting adult children. Oh, the things I wish I had known 34 years ago as I began my motherhood journey. Yet somehow, along the way, the Lord was so faithful to use my futile attempts to remind me what it’s all about…His story. Not mine.
